Rules for commenting

I tell my students that when they speak in class it’s okay to put forward some “rough draft thinking.” Almost everything I post on this blog is very rough-drafty, and I’m down with comments that are equally unpolished. Have a funny story to tell? An anecdote to relate? Want to take me to task for an offhand comment? Go for it. It’s okay to get a little ranty, as long as you don’t target specific people or groups. The things I don’t want in my comments section are diatribes by flamers, or hate speech. Other than that it’s game on–I love to hear what you have to say, so don’t be shy!
